Practical information

Flights
Iceland is only a 3 hours flight from cities in Europe such as London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Amsterdam, and Paris and 5 hours from Washington, New York and Boston. There are now many choices available for traveling by air to Iceland. During 2022 two Icelandic airlines will offer regularly scheduled flights from multiple cities in Europe and America. We highly recommend making reservations as early as possible, since Reykjavík is a very popular tourist destination during the summer months and the less expensive tickets are booked fairly quickly.

Icelandair
The main airline in Iceland, Icelandair, offers many direct flights to Reykjavik from multiple cities both in Europe and in America. For online booking and all further information please see www.icelandair.com.

Play Air
PLAY is offering affordable flights to wonderful destinations in Europe. For booking and all further information please see Play

Scandinavian airlines Please see www.scandinavian.net

Airport transportation
Iceland's international airport is at Keflavik, a 40-45 minutes drive from Reykjavik.
